The Mediation Process

1

Initial Consultation

Your path toward resolution begins with a complimentary 30-minute consultation. We will discuss your situation, explain the mediation process, answer your questions, and determine whether mediation is the right approach for your needs. We will also review scheduling, anticipated timelines, and fees so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

Pre-Mediation Preparation

Prior to the mediation session, we meet individually with each party to gain a comprehensive understanding of their perspective, identify relevant concerns, and gather pertinent information. During these confidential pre-mediation discussions, we establish expectations and review the ground rules to promote a respectful and productive process.
This preparation ensures that all parties are informed, organized, and equipped to engage in meaningful dialogue, explore potential solutions, and work toward a mutually acceptable resolution.

Within a neutral, secure environment, we foster open communication, pinpoint shared interests, and assist all involved in navigating toward agreed outcomes. Meetings generally span 2–4 hours.

Once a resolution is met, we support the participants in recording their terms in a formal document, explicitly detailing every side’s duties and obligations. Upon signing, this text signifies the joint consensus and dedication to the specific arrangements developed during mediation.
